Dr. Nunung Nurul Qomariyah, S.Kom, M.T.I., Ph.D

Nunung Nurul Qomariyah, S.Kom, M.T.I., Ph.D is currently an Assistant Professor at BINUS University International, Jakarta, Indonesia. She is a former member of the Artificial Intelligence Research Group, University of York, UK, where she received her doctoral degree in 2018. Her doctoral research topic is in the area of recommender systems, particularly in e-commerce user preference learning from pairwise comparisons.

Her latest research focuses on developing Explainable AI models in the medical domain in which the latest project was co-funded by Newton British Council in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Research and Education. The research was built upon the existing collaboration between The University of York, UK, Binus University, Indonesia and Pasar Minggu Regional Hospital, Jakarta.  The output of this research has been published in several Scopus indexed publishers, has won the first place in Mendix competition and shortlisted in the Open Innovation (OI) startup competition held by Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI) University of Indonesia. This research has also received many positive feedbacks and promotes further collaboration from the government, medical practitioners, and the health society to improve health services in Indonesia and the UK.
